In the terrible earthquake in East Japan (in 2011, which was accompanied by a devastating tsunami), this system was effectively used to provide emergency water to the victims, in the areas near where the tanks were installed. By using these tanks in the urban water distribution network, emergency and safe water supply will be possible during natural disasters and accidents.
