On this day, Jabarzadegan, the advisor to the Minister of Energy and responsible for the strategic monitoring and control of water and power industry projects, several managers of the Regional Water of Tehran Co. visited the water treatment plant of Tehran No.6.
This treatment plant currently treats 2.5 cubic meters per second of raw water transmitted by a 29.5 km tunnel from Karaj dam. The drinking water as outlet of treatment plants transmitted to the reservoirs and then distribution network of Tehran. According to the plan, the capacity of this treatment plant is to be increased to 7.5 by completing the module 1 and then to 15 cubic meters per second by implementing the module 2.
At the beginning of this visit, a meeting was held in the conference hall of the treatment plant, and first Mozaffarian, the deputy of Regional Water of Tehran Co. (T.R.W.), gave a summary of the history of this treatment plant, and then the manager of project from T.R.W., Karimi, gave a presentation In more detail, about the progress of the work done in the first and second part of the tunnel and the treatment plant and site buildings and the remaining process. The important issue in this presentation was that the fastest way to reach the nominal capacity of the largest water treatment plant in the country and the Middle East is the necessary support from the Ministry of Energy to provide the required credits from public and other sources.
In the other part of this meeting, Bakhshandeh Abkanar, the CEO of Rayab Consulting Engineers Co. stated that the construction part of the treatment plant is the most convenient part of the treatment plant, the main parts of which are currently built, but in the equipment part a lot of work needs to be done. Basically, the complexity of the treatment plants is in the electrical, mechanical and instrumentation sectors, which is naturally very important for such a treatment plant in this critical path.
After him, Mousavian, from Rayab, also presented a report on the new contractor’s activities in the recent two months.
Then the contractor also spoke about the contract to the audience. After him, Jabarzadegan, the advisor to the Minister of Energy spoke and thanked the Th.R.W. and Rayab consultant as a leading consultant in the water industry of the country. He also promised to provide financial resources for the largest water treatment plant of country that is very important fot Tehran the capital of country.
At the end of the meeting, whole group visited different parts of Tehran’s sixth water treatment plant.
